STAR PARTNERS
Music, Film & Technology
OVERVIEW
Star Partners brings music, film, and technology to the world stage.
Allen Schwalb and Jamie Cook have spent their lives bringing entertainment to life. It is a remarkable and impactful journey—one that Star Partners has been privileged to be part of and one that continues today through Mr. Cook's current and future endeavors.
Guided by the principle taught to Jamie Cook by mentor Allen Schwalb — "The best way to predict the future is to create it." — this philosophy has defined Mr. Cook's work for more than four decades.
From pioneering early internet television and satellite tracking technology in the late 1990s, to advancing artificial intelligence beginning in 2020, Mr. Cook has consistently operated at the forefront of emerging industries. His work spans music, film, technology, waste-to-energy, and humanitarian initiatives, with a focus on creating and bringing projects to the world.
Allen Schwalb raised over $500 million between 1973 and his passing in 2014, establishing a standard of disciplined execution and visionary leadership. Building on that foundation, Mr. Cook has raised over $1 billion since the 1990s, while continuing to originate, develop, and launch projects globally.
In 2020, Mr. Cook founded the International Music Awards, now operating in 12 countries worldwide. Beginning in 2026, the organization will expand with the goal of establishing an International Music Awards Hall of Fame and Museum, with locations planned across all 12 participating countries.
Star Partners continues to originate, build, and launch new music, film, and technology projects onto the world stage.
"Nobody gets to live life backward. Look ahead for that is where the future is."

LEADERSHIP
Mr. Jamie (JC) Cook
Mr. Jamie (JC) Cook is a global media executive and entrepreneur with over 35 years of leadership across music, film, television, technology, and international finance.
At seventeen, Mr. Cook brought MTV for its first live filming across four locations and Playboy for its first shoot and VHS series.
At nineteen years old, Mr. Cook was working directly with Bob Eyde, a world-renowned television and film producer and international distributor. Under Eyde's mentorship, Mr. Cook assumed responsibility for selling films internationally and helped fund and distribute Happily Ever After, the animated sequel to Snow White. He later played a role in facilitating one of the world's largest music acquisitions with King Fahd of Saudi Arabia, who changed Saudi law to allow entertainment participation and built a $40 million CD plant.
Mentored from a young age by legendary film financier Allen J. Schwalb, Mr. Cook later became his business manager and partner, continuing a legacy that includes financing over 60 major studio films and 64 Academy Award nominations.
Mr. Cook pioneered the first mobile app in America, first biometric software, world's smallest flat satellite with tracking systems, and launched WebTV in 1996—the first internet television with free calling.
Today, Mr. Cook leads Star Partners, a parent platform unifying music, film, technology, and global creative initiatives.
Mr. Schwalb and Mr. Cook have together helped finance and support more than 70 major feature films. Films financed by Allen J. Schwalb have received 64 Academy Award nominations and resulted in 16 Academy Award–winning films—a legacy that remains unprecedented to date in film financing and production.
To place this achievement in context, the closest comparison is Francis Ford Coppola, whose films—including The Godfather series—collectively garnered 63 Academy Award nominations. This comparison underscores the extraordinary scale and consistency of Mr. Schwalb's impact as a financier behind award-recognized cinema.
In parallel with their work in film, Mr. Schwalb and Mr. Cook have played a pivotal role in the foundation, financing, and growth of influential music labels across the industry, including Casablanca Records, Hitsville Music Group, Timeless Records, and many others—creating a lasting impact on global entertainment across both music and film.
